Simply Spooktacular

Let's be spooky. Let's have fun.
We'll scare ourselves before we're done
with ghosts and goblins, winds that howl,
things that fly and things that prowl.
We'll talk about such creepy stuff,
until we all get scared enough
to hear the things we cannot see,
and see the things that just can't be.
Let's be spooky, you and me.

On Hallowe'en the thing
you must do
Is pretend that nothing
can frighten you
An' if somethin' scares you
and you want to run
Jus' let on like
it's Halloween fun!

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Wonderful post.
If scared I freeze - never mind run!

(I'm caught up, you may come and see)

Love and joy.

Kris: We had a great time! We thoroughly enjoyed our first trick-or-treat with our groovy little pirate. c",)

Odat: I was worried our pirate would get scared when he saw the monsters in the trick-or-treat graveyard. But guess who ended up screaming? Yes...the loony mommy! HAHA! Our pirate actually went back for a second round. That was how unfazed he was! :p

WonderMom Janet: Thanks! Hope your Halloween is just as fun!

AngelDust: You freeze. I shriek. LOUD. :p

That's got to be the cutest little pirate I've ever seen.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

That has to be the cutest pirate I've ever seen. My little guy would have tired to hit the scary monsters. (He's big into hitting right now- it's so embarrassing.)

I'm definitely coming back!

Cute stuff! I agree with odat - your little boy is looking like "Hey, what's up?" - totally not affected.

Irene said...

The Thinker: You have delighted the loony stage mother with your comment. Thanks! :p

Urban-Urchin: Ah! So you have a little hitter on your hands! Mine is a thrower. He hurls everything he can grasp just to see how far it would go. Sigh! c",)

Houseband: Feeling ko, mas mana kay Mommy. HAHA! So where are you taking D this Halloween? c",)

PrincessR9: Thanks for visiting! Feel at home here, okay? (",)

Heather: I knew it! WOOHOO! My baby has been watching the DVD lately so the faces of the characters stuck like glue to my head. Thanks for dropping by. Catch you again soon!

Harmonica Man: You bet. We've got Mr. Cool Baby on our hands. I have yet to come across something that really disconcerts him, except maybe for little girls trying to kiss him. BWAHAHA! :p

And a very happy Halloween to you, Irene (and family)! All Hallows' Eve has always been my favorite holiday of the year. I'd rather celebrate it than anything, including Christmas and my birthday.

slaghammer said...

Looks like a fun party. I'm with Ian on this subject, Halloween is the only holiday that I don't dread and it is infinitely more fun than my birthday.

Irene said...

Maria: Salamat! Hope you have a fun Halloween in your part of the world! c",)

H: Thanks! (",)

Irish Ian & Slaghammer: I agree that Halloween is huge fun.

But in the Philippines, nothing beats Christmas! Do you know we have one of the longest Christmas celebrations in the world? Malls start playing carols as early as October and the decors do not come off until mid-January. There's so much time for making merry! :p

choochoo said...

hehe - the kid looks all serious-like, while you're laughing and smiling. You'd think _he_ took _you_ to the party:P

Choochoo: An astute observation! Sometimes, my baby does act more mature than his loony mommy. Sigh! :p

Tim: Thanks!

Praveen: Welcome to my site! Feel free to visit anytime. c",) So now you've discovered more about Halloween. It's really just an excuse for everyone to look silly, act silly and have a heck of a silly, fun time!

Hello Irene! Thank you for your kind words. You can't imagine how they are important to me. I started learning how to do this(using computer to draw) a few months ago and I'm still learning and sometimes it's so difficult!:-)
I saw that you like Reynaldo.Well it's you and a lot of women! He started in a soap opera from Brasil called Belissima. I don't watch soap opera and don't like Tv very much. But I noticed this guy. It's impossible not too. But my all time favorite since-imagine-the times I was in college lonf before he become known as 007 is Pierce Brosnan. Now he's a bit old and he's not aging well like some other actores.Example: Paul Newman...(I do not like TV but I adore movies!)

I also like chocolate...a lot!And coffee!A lot!

You baby is beautifull! And you too!

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeen!

I adore Pierce Brosnan, too! I was hooked since I first saw him on the tv show "Remington Steel"! :p

Thanks for making my day with your wonderful comment! You'll definitely see more of me. You know I can't get enough of your art! Un gran bezo y abrazo! c",)
