Kissed By A Dolphin

"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much....the wheel, New York, wars and so on....whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man....for precisely the same reasons."

- from "The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams

We recently brought our little boy to watch "The Wonderful World of Dolphins" show. He was completely fascinated and besotted by the sight of the darling creatures performing their amazing stunts. At the end of the program, our son was stunned to get the surprise kiss of his life.

Behold the photos:

MWAAAAAAAAAH!

Oh, I wanted to go and watch that! Darn!

That was really great shot and I bet he must be really surprised

Beautiful Bearette: Did you notice how big and round with sheer amazement our little boy's eyes were? He actually didn't want to leave after getting kissed by the dolphin. He wanted to go back for more! :p

Maria: I know! I too wanted to get kissed by the dolphin, but just getting my son smacked in the cheek by the fabulous creature was just too darn expensive already. HAHA! ;p

Mench: Sayang! Joshua and Faith would have had a blast. Let's hope, Tutti and Frutti (the dophins) will return next year.

Zero Impact: It was actually the official photographer from the show who took that kissing shot. We were lucky our son was looked straight at the camera at the precise moment he was being kissed, so you can really see his amazed expression. =)

I love dolphins. There is something just so magical about them...and I agree with the dolphins...they are most likely the smarter!! One day, I want to swim with the dolphins....

TJ: Our son's indeed fortunate to have that special photo to jolt his memory of that one-of-a-kind kiss when he grows older. =)

Princess Shin: Who knows? Maybe they'll bring the dolphin show to Malaysia one of these days so you can watch, too. :p

JR: As much as I'd like to take the credit, it was really my husband the professional photographer who caught most of the great shots of the dolphins.

However, I've been getting a lot of practice these days as I feverishly shoot away with my new camera. So, hopefully, I can share more of my own pictures soon! ;p

Claudia: I feel you, woman! Dolphins are such delightfully enchanting creatures. They are my favorite animals in the world. (",)

Excellent quote:"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem".

The only way to have proper perspective is to fully appreciate that quote. I love it.

Irene said...

Hi, M-Filer!

I know. If only we can prevent ourselves from being so quickly fooled by appearances....

Very, Very cool!! We took the twins to have lunch at Sea World. They got scared everytime the whales swam by. It's awesome you got the chance to do what you did and to get a great photo of it!

Ang kayut kayut naman nung baby mo at nung dolphin. =)

Pero, not to be a spoilsport, nakakaawa rin talaga yung dolphins. Exploited masyado.
